Police are looking for a suspect after a woman was sexually assaulted on a Halifax Transit bus last week.
The woman told police that she fell asleep on the Route 4 bus and awoke to find a male passenger touching her in a sexual manner over her clothing between 4:45 p.m. and 5:05 p.m. on Feb. 25.
The suspect then exited the bus on Joseph Howe Drive.
Police say they learned of the allegations Wednesday afternoon.
The suspect is described as a white man, roughly five-foot-eight inches tall, with a slim build and a tattoo of what appeared to be a name on the left side of his neck, and three piercings in his left ear.
He was wearing a green windbreaker, blue jeans and tan work boots.
Anyone with information about the incident or the suspect is asked to contact police.
