Halifax police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a male and a female suspect after a gun was pointed at two people aboard a bus last month.

Police responded to a weapons call on a Metro Transit bus travelling on Wyse Road after 1:30 a.m. on New Year’s Day.

They say a man and a woman were involved in a verbal altercation with four younger women when the man pulled a handgun and pointed it at the heads of two of the victims.

The suspects fled the bus, but as they were leaving, police say the female suspect punched one of the victims in the face.

The victims were not injured.

The male suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, five-foot-eight, with a slim build.

He was wearing a black Ecko Unlimited jacket and a blue Denver Broncos tuque at the time.

The female suspect is described as a white woman in her 20s with long, black hair.

She was wearing a black coat and a grey sweater at the time.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspects is asked to contact Halifax Regional Police at 490-5016.
