BAYFIELD, NOVA SCOTIA -- The RCMP says the search has resumed today for a canoeist reported missing Sunday in northeastern Nova Scotia.
Sgt. Alain LeBlanc says the search began after police received a call about an overturned canoe in waters near Bayfield in Antigonish County.
A helicopter and boat search of the area did not locate the 33-year-old man.
LeBlanc says local fisherman are continuing to look for the man and police have brought in a dive team to assist with the search.
A second person in the canoe managed to make it to shore.
