Nova Scotia:

  • All schools in the South Shore Regional School Board are closed.
  • All schools in the Annapolis Valley Regional School are closed.
  • All schools in the Tri-County Regional School Board are closed.
  • All schools in East Hants are closed. Schools in Cumberland, Colchester and Pictou counties are open.
  • After-school activities at all Chignecto-Central Regional schools are cancelled.
  • All schools in the Halifax Regional School Board are closed.
  • CSAP schools in HRM, Clare and Argyle are closed.
  • NSCC campuses in Lunenburg, Yarmouth, Shelburne and Digby are closed.
  • NSCC Metro campuses (Akerley, IT, Waterfront) are closing at 1 p.m.
  • NSCC Annapolis Valley, COGS and Kingstec campuses are closing at 12:30 p.m.
  • NSCC Marconi campus is closing at 5 p.m. Cumberland campus evening classes are cancelled.
  • NSCC Strait Area campus is closing at 5 p.m. Evening classes are cancelled at the Truro campus.
  • Saint Mary's University is closing at 1 p.m.
  • Acadia University is cancelling classes as of 12:30 p.m.
  • Mount Saint Vincent University is closing at 3 p.m.
  • Dalhousie University is closing its Halifax campus at 2:30 p.m. The Truro campus remains open.
  • The University of King's College is closing at 2:30 p.m.
  • NSCAD is closing at 1 p.m.
  • Cape Breton University is closing for the evening. All classes beginning at 5:30 p.m. are cancelled.
  • Provincial government offices in Yarmouth and Shelburne counties will close at noon.
  • Provincial government offices in Digby, Annapolis, Kings, Queens, Lunenburg, Hants and Halifax counties, including Metro Halifax, will close at 1 p.m.
  • The Discovery Centre in Halifax is closing at 1 p.m.
  • All branches and departments of the Halifax Public Libraries will close at 3 p.m.
  • Mic Mac Mall in Dartmouth is closing at 5 p.m.
  • Halifax Shopping Centre is closing at 5 p.m.

Transportation:

  • Marine Atlantic - North Sydney to Port aux Basques 11:45 ferry crossing is cancelled.
  • Marine Atlantic - Port aux Basques to North Sydney 23:45 ferry crossing is cancelled.
  • Marine Atlantic - North Sydney to Port aux Basques 23:45 ferry crossing is cancelled.
  • Bay Ferries - Saint John to Digby 8 a.m. ferry crossing is cancelled.
  • Bay Ferries - Digby to Saint John 4 p.m. ferry crossing is cancelled.
  • Kings Transit Authority is shutting down service by 2 p.m. All buses will leave for their final destination by 1 p.m.
  • Tancook Ferry has cancelled all remaining crossings for the day.
