Police in Halifax are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted in connection with a weekend stabbing.
Police responded to the stabbing outside an apartment building on Forbes Street shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday.
They say several individuals were involved in the fight, resulting in one man being stabbed. He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
A nationwide warrant has been issued for 18-year-old Michael Richard Stewart in connection with the incident.
Police say Stewart is facing charges of attempted murder, assault and four counts of breach of probation.
Stewart is described as a white male with brown eyes and short black hair. He is six-foot-two and weighs 190 pounds.
Police say Stewart is considered dangerous and should not be approached if spotted.
