Halifax Water says it has approved a tentative agreement in an almost two-month labour dispute with more than 300 of its workers.
Two locals of the Canadian Union of Public Employees must still ratify the proposed deal before a lockout that began in May is over.
Details won't be released until that happens.
Halifax Water says the tentative agreement with the union representing the workers came after a pension proposal containing suggestions from both sides.
Changes to employee pensions have been a main issue in the dispute.
Employees, including 230 outside and 105 inside workers, set up picket lines on May 19, although Halifax Water had already locked them out.
