A ‘code black’ was called Tuesday evening at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton after security discovered an unattended duffel bag.
The bag was found just outside the emergency department around 6:40 p.m.
Police responded to the scene and blocked public access to the building as a precaution.
Staff members were also told to stay clear of the emergency department.
Horizon Health says there was no threat and the situation was cleared.
