A 27-year-old woman is in custody after a man was stabbed in Whitney Pier, N.S. Thursday evening.
Cape Breton Regional Police responded to a home on Henry Street shortly after 8 p.m.
Police say the alleged victim had fled the scene when officers arrived. They searched the area and located the man in another residence a short time later.
He was taken to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A woman was taken into custody and police say charges are pending.
They also say the man and woman are known to each other.
