Youth dies following crash in Moncton, N.B.
The RCMP in Moncton, N.B., say a youth involved in a crash on Dec. 15, has died in hospital as a result of their injuries.
Last Monday, RCMP said in a news release that the drivers of two vehicles, a 43-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, died at hospital following a head-on collision on Highway 15 in Moncton the day before. They announced the death of the youth, a passenger in the man’s vehicle, in an update on Saturday.
Members of the Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a report of a head-on collision at approximately 5:28 p.m. on Dec. 15.
Two passengers in the woman’s vehicle were transported to hospital with what were believed to be minor injuries. A third passenger in the man’s vehicle went to hospital with what are believed to be serious injuries.
Moncton Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick and the New Brunswick coroner’s office attended the scene. An RCMP collision reconstructionist and remotely piloted aircraft were both deployed as part of the investigation, which is ongoing.
