A war memorial in the Halifax area has received some national attention.
The Korean War Memorial in Clayton Park West has been recognized by the National Inventory of Canadian Military Memorials.
The memorial was dedicated in Stratford Way Park back in 2006, and the designation ensures the site will continue to be properly maintained.
More than 26-thousand Canadians served during the Korean War with 516 never making it home.
