HALIFAX -- Police in Halifax say a 19-year-old man is facing arson charges after he allegedly lit a fire inside an apartment building Sunday.
Police say officers were called to an apartment complex on Ridgevalley Road regarding a minor fire that was extinguished before police arrived around 4:30 a.m.
They say investigators found property damage in the building's entranceway, including smashed windows, furniture and office equipment.
Investigators say a police dog was called in and the suspect was found nearby.
The man is facing charges including arson, break and enter and property damage.
