A 43-year-old woman is dead after her car collided with a cube van on Nova Scotia’s Cape Sable Island.
The RCMP and emergency crews responded to the crash on Highway 330 in North East Point around 6:30 p.m. Monday.
Police say the driver, and sole occupant, of the car died at the scene from her injuries. Police have not released her name but say she was from the Barrington area.
The driver and two passengers in the cube van were not injured.
Highway 330 was closed to traffic for several hours while police cleared the scene. It reopened around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Police say they don’t expect to lay charges.
