YARMOUTH, N.S. -- A small dairy facility is closing in Nova Scotia resulting in the loss of 20 jobs in Yarmouth.
Agriculture Minister Keith Colwell says he's saddened to learn Agropur Dairy Co-operative will close the Cooks Dairy.
He says Cooks was a family-owned business and formed a critical part of the community.
The provincial government has put in place a transition team to help the employees look for other jobs and apply for employment insurance.
Agropur Dairy Cooperative of Quebec bought Cooks Dairy Farm Ltd. in August 2013.
