Teen struck on marked crosswalk near high school

A teenager in Halifax was struck while walking on a marked crosswalk this morning near Citadel High School.
Halifax Regional Police were called to Bell Road around 9a.m. A 16-year-old boy was crossing the road in a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a vehicle. He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police say the driver, a 50-year-old man, has been charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
