HALIFAX -- The Nova Scotia government and Halifax police are offering up to $150,000 for information about a man who was killed in 2012.

They're offering the reward to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the death of Kevin Sean Farren.

Supt. Jim Perrin says homicide investigators believe people have information on Farren's death and might come forward if there is a reward.

Farren's body was found in a home on Havenbrook Hill in Halifax on March 9, 2012, when police responded to a report of a break and enter.

Justice Minister Lena Metlege Diab says the money would come from the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program.

It paid its first reward last August to someone who assisted in the arrest and conviction of Dustan Joseph Preeper and Joshua Michael Preeper, who pleaded guilty to murdering Melissa Dawn Peacock.
