Halifax police are investigating a shooting that occurred outside Citadel High School.
Police responded shortly after 3 pm Monday to a report of shots fired on Ahern Avenue, close to the Halifax school. Upon arrival they found shell casings on the roadway and by the sidewalk.
Despite the gunfire, no injuries have been reported and investigators don't believe the shots were fired at the building.
Investigators are speaking to staff at the school and will review video surveillance to see if they can identify the people involved. Police believe this was not a random incident, and is connected to an ongoing dispute.
