Nova Scotia's Natural Resources Department says a 14-year-old boy was attacked by a coyote in Cape Breton.
The department says officials responded Tuesday evening after the animal bit the boy's leg and buttocks while he was on a trail near Edwardsville, N.S.
The boy's wounds are not considered serious.
Natural Resources officials are investigating and have called in a trained trapper to remove the animal.
