A 52-year-old Digby County man is due in court after another man was stabbed on the weekend.
Police say the alleged victim, a 48-year-old man from Nova Scotia’s Annapolis County, had been stabbed a number of times at a home on Water Street.
He was treated in hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and released before he contacted the RCMP Sunday afternoon.
Officers executed a search warrant at a Digby home and arrested a suspect without incident.
He was held in custody and is due to appear in Digby provincial court Monday to face a charge of aggravated assault.
Police say the incident was not a random act as the men are known to each other.
The investigation is ongoing.
