A home in the Halifax area has been destroyed after a fire early Sunday morning.
It happened just after 1 a.m. Sunday in East Preston.
Fire officials say the home was already engulfed when crews arrived on scene.
No one was home at the time, but one pet is still missing.
Officials say the home is a total loss.
There is no word yet on what caused the fire. It remains under investigation.
