CORNER BROOK, N.L. -- Police say a man who allegedly tried to break into a western Newfoundland apartment complex made his arrest easy for officers after leaving a trail.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary in Corner Brook say they were called to the building on Main Street around 4 a.m. today.
They say the suspect was no longer in the area, but he had left a trail of footprints in fresh snow.
The footprints led officers to a man attempting to break into several businesses in the Commercial Street area.
A 20-year-old man was arrested for break and entry and police say more charges are possible.
