A 45-year-old taxi driver has been charged with sexually assaulting a 21-year-old female passenger.
Police say the alleged incident happened on Oct. 23 around 11:30 p.m. near Windsor and Allen streets.
A woman says she was touched in a sexual manner without her consent before being dropped off at her requested destination in Halifax.
Police say the incident was reported more than three weeks after it happened.
Investigators say the victim had taken the same cab before.
Seyed Mirsaeid-Ghazi was arrested without incident and released on conditions to have no female passengers in his vehicle and no passengers in the front seat while operating under a taxi licence.
Mirsaeid-Ghazi will appear in Halifax provincial court on June 9.
