Halifax Regional Police are renewing calls for clues in the murder of Raymond Floyd Peters, who was shot in Dartmouth’s north end two years ago.

Police responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Primrose Street and Pinecrest Drive before 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 7, 2013.

Investigators say an altercation took place in a backyard and that Peters, 24, had been shot several times.

Peters managed to run to a residence on Jackson Road where he took refuge in an apartment. He was taken to hospital where he passed away the following day.

Police say the suspect fled the scene on foot and is described as a black man in his 20s with a medium build. He was wearing a blue hoodie and black pants at the time of the incident.

Investigators believe there are people who have information about Peters’ murder who have not come forward and they are asking anyone with information to contact them.
