Halifax Regional Police are searching for a woman after a man was found suffering from stab wounds Sunday morning.

Police say just before 5 a.m., a taxi driver found a man bleeding on Gottingen Street.

The victim told the taxi driver he had been stabbed after meeting with a woman he met the night before.

The man said the woman produced a knife and demanded the his wallet and cellphone. She then allegedly stabbed him three times in the arm and stomach area.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threating injuries.

The woman was last seen running north on Gottingen Street. She is described as a black woman in her early 20s with long brown, curly hair and wearing a red shirt and white pants.
