A truck crashed into a power pole on Windmill Road in Dartmouth during the heavy rain storm Saturday night.
Police say around 11 p.m., the pickup truck went through a large puddle causing it to hydroplane. The driver lost control, struck a power pole, which caused a transformer to fall off.
The driver was taken to Dartmouth General with non-life threatening injuries as Nova Scotia Power crews secured the pole.
The road was shut down until 2 a.m.
