ANTIGONISH, N.S. -- Officials with Nova Scotia's St. Francis Xavier University and the school's striking faculty association will meet for informal talks today.
Association president Peter McInnis says he will meet with university president Sean Riley and the chief negotiators for both sides in the contract dispute.
McInnis says university officials extended the invitation.
He says they'll discuss a possible return to negotiations and how they can make them more productive.
It's the fourth day of a strike by about 400 professors and other academic staff at the university located in Antigonish.
The association walked off the job Monday over wages and benefits for part-time employees.
