CHARLOTTETOWN -- Prince Edward Island's attorney general has granted a request from the chief coroner to hold an inquest into the deaths of a mother and her young son in a murder-suicide.
The bodies of 38-year-old Patricia Hennessey of Stratford and her four-year-old son, Nash Campbell, were found in a burning vehicle in western P.E.I.
Police have said the deaths in June 2013 were the result of a murder-suicide.
They said both died of smoke inhalation.
No date has been set for the inquest.
