A 43-year-old man is facing charges after police found the body of an elderly man in a Yarmouth, N.S. home.
Police were asked to check on the resident of a home on Grove Road around 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Upon entering the home, RCMP found the body of 76-year-old Stanley Ernest Adams. Police are treating his death as suspicious.
Officers arrested Timothy Stanley Adams without incident. He is charged with one count of neglecting to perform duties with reference to burial and one count of offering indignities to human remains.
Police have not confirmed whether the victim and alleged suspect are related.
Timothy Adams is due to appear in Yarmouth court Wednesday afternoon.
Police are interested in speaking with anyone who may have seen anything suspicious at the home or was in contact with Stanley Adams prior to his death.
