Police in New Glasgow have charged 36-year-old Robert Jason MacKenzie with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Nicole Campbell.
The 33-year-old woman from Pictou County was found dead in a Temperance Street apartment around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday after a 911 call. Police deemed her death a homicide on Thursday morning.
Police say MacKenzie, who is also from Pictou County, was questioned overnight and is known to police.
MacKenzie has been remanded into custody. He will appear in Pictou Provincial Court on Monday.
