A 52-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being struck in a marked crosswalk in the Halifax area.
Police say the man was crossing the road at Portland Street and Spring Avenue in Dartmouth just before 6 a.m. when he was hit by a car.
The impact was forceful enough to break the car’s windshield and side mirror.
The man was taken to hospital with minor head injuries and an injury to his lower leg.
There is no word yet on whether charges will be laid against the driver.
