One man has died and another is in hospital after a single-vehicle collision in Newport, N.S.
Windsor District RCMP responded to the crash on Highway 215 around 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
Investigators say it appears an eastbound vehicle left the highway and crashed into a ditch.
The 22-year-old male driver from Hants County was airlifted to a Halifax hospital where he later died.
A 29-year-old male passenger from Hants County was taken to the Hants Community Hospital and later airlifted to a Halifax hospital. Police say his injuries are believed to be serious.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
