HALIFAX -- Police in Halifax say they're investigating after a military vehicle was involved in a crash that sent a few people to hospital with injuries.

Investigators say the military vehicle was driving through the intersection of Young and Robie streets with its emergency lights activated around 5:30 p.m. Sunday when it hit a vehicle.

Police say the second vehicle was then hit by a third vehicle.

They say the military vehicle was pushed across a lawn and crashed into the deck of a home next to the intersection.

The driver of the second vehicle and the passenger of the third vehicle were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver and passenger of the military police vehicle suffered minor injuries.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
