The family of a missing Dartmouth woman held a candlelight vigil for her Monday evening.

Melissa Dawn Peacock, 20, hasn't been seen or heard from since November 7.

Her last contact with family was a cryptic text message, suggesting she'd gone to the country with an unnamed friend.

Police have followed up several tips in the case, but none have lead to Peacock.

Dozens of friends and family members gathered in Shannon Park Monday evening to let people know they have not given up hope.

"It's just to remind people that Melissa is still missing and we're not giving up hope," said her stepfather, James Slauenwhite.

"We just want to keep her memory alive that she is still out there. We still don't know where or with who."

Peacock is described as five-foot-one inches, 105 pounds with long brown hair.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call police or Crimestoppers.
