RCMP in Northeastern Nova Scotia are investigating an incident, where racist graffiti was spray painted on a home in Monastery.

Police were called to a home on the No 16 Highway on Wednesday.

There they found racist phrases painted in orange on the home, and on a nearby garage as well.

Neighbours tell CTV news, a First Nations couple has been living there for more than a year.

No one was at the home when our camera arrived, and Antigonish RCMP are saying little about the incident.
