BRIDGEWATER, N.S. -- A Nova Scotia woman charged with impaired driving causing the death of her nine-year-old daughter is facing two additional charges.

RCMP said Tuesday they have laid charges of criminal negligence causing death and dangerous driving causing death against Candice Roxanne Moore of Pleasantville.

Moore was also facing one count of refusing to comply with a demand for a breath sample.

RCMP Sgt. Derek Smith said the additional charges were laid about two weeks ago.

Police have said the 30-year-old woman's daughter was killed after being dropped off at a home in Pleasantville at around noon on Jan. 19.

They say the Olive Moore was standing in the road when she was struck by a van as it left the driveway.

She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Candice Moore is scheduled to make a court appearance Wednesday in Bridgewater, N.S.
