Halifax Regional Police say charges will not be laid in the case of a cyclist who died after colliding with a propane truck last week.
Police responded to the collision at the intersection of Herring Cove Road and Purcells Cove Road in Halifax around 8:40 a.m. Wednesday.
They say the cyclist collided with the truck as she was making a right-hand turn from Herring Cove Road onto Purcells Cove Road.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. She has been identified as 49-year-old Loresa Makonin of Halifax.
Police say their investigation has determined that the truck driver did not violate the Motor Vehicle Act and, as a result, will not face charges.
