HALIFAX - Halifax Regional Police say a pedestrian was hit in a crosswalk Friday evening, one of several similar incident this week.
Police say a vehicle hit the 47-year-old man in a marked crosswalk at the intersection of Dunbrack Street and Main Avenue around 11 p.m.
He was taken to hospital with minor injuries and the driver was given a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
Staff Sgt. Reid McCoombs says several pedestrians have been hit in the Halifax area this week.
He says reduced visibility caused by rain and fog likely contributed to the number of accidents.
