A 26-year-old man is facing charges for his alleged involvement in a number of violent offences that happened last week in Millbrook, N.S. and Truro, N.S.
Truro Police received a report of a disturbance at the Engine Room, a Truro bar, Saturday evening. Witnesses told police that a man threatened another man and was believed to be carrying a knife.
A few hours later, around 2:20 a.m.,police were called to a stabbing on the Millbrook First Nation. A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Kyle Joseph McDonald of Millbrook was arrested on Tuesdayin connection with the stabbing. Truro police allege McDonald was also involved in the altercation at the Engine Room.
He is facing charges of aggravated assault, two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, four counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and two counts of breach of probation.
McDonald appeared in Colchester county court on Wednesday. He is in police custody and is due to appear in Truro provincial court on Monday.
