Halifax District RCMP are looking for a suspect believed to have stabbed three men in Lower Sackville Wednesday evening.
Officers were called to the Cobequid Community Health Centre around 8:30 p.m. after the men arrived at the hospital with stab wounds.
Police say a 26-year-old man and a 24-year-old suffered non-life-threatening injuries. A man in his 30s sustained more serious injuries and was sent to hospital in Halifax for surgery.
The incident remains under investigation but police do not believe it was a random act.
“Unfortunately, we’re not getting a lot of cooperation from those involved,” says RCMP Cpl. Scott MacRae. “Our investigators will continue to probe for more information.”
Police say they have reason to believe the incident may have taken place near Millwood High School.
“We’ve put our investigators out there… but from our K9… there didn’t seem to be any evidence. So right now, we have a little bit of a mystery how these three people ended up in Cobequid with stab wounds.”
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police.
