SAINT JOHN, N.B. -- Municipal officials have lifted a state of emergency in an area of Saint John, N.B.
They say enough snow has been cleared on the southern peninsula that they can end parking restrictions.
Crews are continuing to clear snow in the Waterloo Village area.
No parking signs are being placed on certain streets in that area as they continue digging out from repeated, heavy snowfalls.
It's estimated that more than 7,500 truckloads of snow have been removed since Tuesday.
Saint John had been under a local state of emergency since Tuesday when 30 centimetres of snow fell on top of the almost 100 centimetres already on the ground.
