A 29-year-old man is facing charges, including attempted murder, after a man was stabbed in Halifax last month.

Police responded to the 2000 block of Gottingen Street before 10 a.m. on May 21.

They say a 28-year-old man had been stabbed in the 5500 block of Cornwallis Street before making his way to an address on Gottingen Street.

The man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers arrested a man without incident at a home on Lakefront Drive in Dartmouth Wednesday afternoon.

Jason Matthew Halsey was held in custody overnight. He is due in Halifax provincial court Thursday to face charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
