HALIFAX -- Police have arrested five people after a taxi driver was allegedly threatened with a knife and robbed in the Halifax area.
Police say the driver had picked up five people at Alderney Landing in the suburb of Dartmouth around 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
They say while driving on nearby Portland Street, one of the passengers showed the driver a knife and demanded money.
The suspects made off with some cash and a cellphone.
The victim was not injured.
Police later arrested all five of the accused, but no charges have been laid.
