A 15-year-old boy is facing charges after a construction worker was threatened with a knife at a busy Halifax mall.
Police responded to the Halifax Shopping Centre on Mumford Road around 3 p.m. Tuesday.
The 30-year-old worker told police a group of youths was causing a disturbance near one of the entrances of the mall.
He says one of the youths then approached him with a knife and threatened to stab him.
Mall security intervened in the scuffle and detained three youths until police arrived on the scene.
The victim was not injured.
Police say one of the boys was identified as the suspect with the knife and was arrested without incident.
He is charged with assault with a weapon, breach of probation and breach of an undertaking.
Police say he is due to appear in Halifax provincial court later today.
