Three teenage hockey players were sent to hospital – one with serious injuries – after a single-vehicle crash in southwestern New Brunswick Wednesday night.

St. Stephen RCMP say the crash happened around 5 p.m. on Route 3 in Bailey, N.B.

Police say the vehicle left the road, struck a power pole and rolled.

Two 18-year-old men and a 19-year-old man were sent to hospital with various injuries, with one man transported to Saint John hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

The St. Stephen Aces released a statement Thursday stating two of the players were released, while one remains in hospital.

Police do not believe impairment was a factor. Officers are continuing their investigation into the cause.

The Aces say all scheduled for this weekend will be postponed and rescheduled, affecting games on Friday and Saturday in St. Stephen, and Sunday in Dieppe.
