Two teens are dead and two others are injured following a single-vehicle collision in Chipman, N.B.

Police and emergency crews responded to the scene on Roy Mills Road around 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

Investigators say it appears the pickup truck left the road, went down an embankment, and landed on its roof in a body of water.

Two teens managed to escape the vehicle, climb up the embankment, and went for help.

A 14-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene. A 13-year-old boy was later pronounced dead at hospital.

Two other boys under the age of 18 were taken to hospital in Fredericton with undetermined injuries.

A collision reconstructionist is assisting police as they investigate the collision.
