BRAS D’OR, N.S. – A fire has destroyed King’s Auto Repair in Bras d’Or, N.S.
Police and fire marshals say the fire broke out around 12 a.m. on Sunday. No one was injured during the incident.
Three Cape Breton fire departments responded to the fire, including detachments from George's River and Florence.
Officials say a building next door sustained smoke damage to its interior and some damage to the vinyl siding on the rear of the building. The neighbouring building has eight tenants, including the constituency office of Liberal MLA Pam Eyking. Officials also say it’s lucky the adjacent building didn’t catch fire.
Officials say the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
