RCMP are turning to the public for help as they investigate a break and enter that happened in Chester, N.S. on Friday.

Police say they responded to the break in at the former Gold River-Western Shore School building, located off Highway 3 in Gold River, N.S. just after 3:00 pm on Friday.

The building has been unoccupied since 2013 and is now used for storage.

Police say there are concerns that those involved may have been exposed to asbestos.

Anyone who has information about the incident is asked to contact Nova Scotia RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
