Bell Media Radio’s 101.3 The BOUNCE is now 101.3 VIRGIN Radio. The shift to the popular “coast-to-coast” music brand happened at 1 p.m. today.

The radio broadcaster says listeners in the Halifax area will continue to enjoy the same music by today’s most popular artists. Listeners will also hear the same personalities, like Turk, Megan and Amateur Alex, plus programming and contests familiar to fans of 101.3 The BOUNCE.

Listeners can also tune in online.

VIRGIN Radio is Canada’s top ranking contemporary hit radio network. Brad Muir, the program director at 101.3 VIRGIN Radio, says the change completes the network’s reach across Canada and is part of a rebrand that has been in the works for some time.

“We look forward to entertaining our loyal listeners with this winning format, and we warmly welcome new listeners across Halifax to tune in to 101.3 VIRGIN Radio,” said Muir in a statement.

Muir says 101.3 FM remains the region’s top station for adults between the ages of 18 and 44.

Bell Media Radio is Canada’s top-ranked radio broadcaster, with 106 licensed radio stations in 54 markets across the country. It is the largest radio provider and is ranked first in people reached and hours tuned.
