HALIFAX - Police in Halifax say two people were hit by a car in a marked crosswalk last night.

They say a 50-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man were struck at about 5:15 yesterday evening on Robie Street and Spring Garden Road.

They say the woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The man was not injured.

The driver of the vehicle, a 30-year-old woman from Halifax, was issued a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
