Cole Harbour Place will reopen Monday, except for the Scotia 1 Arena, which still needs work to remove and ice from its roof.

The facility in Cole Harbour, N.S. was closed Saturday and Sunday due to safety concerns over the snow and ice buildup on the roof.

Officials said maintenance staff, as well as members of Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency, helped to remove snow and clear the drains on the roof of the facility on Saturday and Sunday.

A structural assessment was completed Sunday and crews said further work is required to remove the frozen snow and ice weighing on parts of the building.

The Scotia 1 Arena will remain closed Monday as crews continue to clear the roof.

Regular hours of operation are in effect for the rest of the facility.
