Halifax Regional Police are searching for a man who assaulted another man on Spring Garden Road Friday night.
Police say the incident happened shortly before 10 p.m. near Carleton Street. They say a 27-year-old victim was approached by another man who asked him for cash.
Police say the victim said no, and the suspect punched him in the face and ran away.
The suspect is described as a white man with salt-and-pepper scraggly hair and squinty eyes. He was wearing a ragged hat and a plaid shirt at the time.
